Have a look to see what some families have said about the care at Manoir Beaconsfield:

A True Home with Exceptional Care
" has been an absolute blessing for my mother and our entire family. From the moment she arrived, she was welcomed with warmth and kindness, making the transition into care so much easier. The atmosphere here feels like an extended family—one where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and genuine affection.
What sets Manoir Beaconsfield apart is the perfect balance they strike between creating a homelike environment and maintaining the highest level of professionalism. The staff are not only compassionate and attentive, but they are also highly skilled and proactive in managing my mother’s care. We are always kept informed about her well-being, any challenges she faces, and the solutions the team proposes. This level of transparency gives us incredible peace of mind.
Beyond just providing care, the team actively works to ensure my mother feels safe, supported, and engaged in daily life. They take the time to understand her needs and preferences, making adjustments whenever necessary. Whether it’s small comforts that make her feel at home or more complex medical concerns, the staff approach every situation with dedication and expertise.
We are deeply grateful to Manoir Beaconsfield for their unwavering commitment to their residents. Knowing that my mother is in such caring and capable hands is priceless. I wholeheartedly recommend this residence to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will not only receive excellent care but also feel genuinely valued and at home."

"It’s hard to believe that over a year has passed since my dear Jean-Paul left us. The pain of his loss is still profound, but one comforting thought is that in his final three years, he was in the exceptionally capable hands of the team at Manoir Beaconsfield, where he received the best possible care and never had to suffer.
I continue to be amazed by the level of kindness, attention, and respect you and your caregivers show to the residents, whether seniors or individuals with disabilities. Your dedication to providing not only the highest quality care but also a compassionate, dignified environment is something I truly admire. The respect you extend to both residents and their families is rare and invaluable.
The strength of character and ethical values that your entire team embodies is something very special and deserves recognition. I feel incredibly fortunate that Jean-Paul spent his final years in such an environment. Congratulations to everyone at the Manoir for creating a place where care, generosity, and professionalism are at the forefront every day.
Sabrina, I wish you and your team continued success and fulfillment in your path of excellence, and I hope Manoir Beaconsfield continues to be a place of such outstanding care for many years to come."
Sincerely, Marinka

"Our mother has advanced dementia. She moved into Manoir Beaconsfield from another private long-term care facility over three years ago, and we’re very glad she did. She receives
exceptional care, and it means a lot to the family that she is able to stay in the same
neighbourhood as her family home.
Whenever we drop by, it is clear that our mother is very well cared for. She is always tidy, her
hair is clean and styled, and she’s out of bed and dressed. It is obvious that the staff has
genuine affection for her and this is reflected in the excellent care she receives. The small size of the facility means that we’ve gotten to know several of the caregivers personally, which
makes us feel the Manoir is more like a home than an institution.
The staff do an excellent job keeping us up to date on our mother’s condition. We get notes and phone calls for even minor events or incidents, which adds to our confidence that our mother is in the right place.
The decision of where mom should live in her final years was stressful for the family, but we are all very happy that we chose Manoir Beaconsfield."

"We were fortunate to have Manoir B. suggested as an option when my father was hospitalized after a fall and some confusion. He had been deteriorating at home alone and it was suggested a long-term stay at a residence-type setting would be beneficial.
From the moment he was admitted there, it was clear that the staff was caring, loving, and professional. He was reluctant to remain at first but soon became very comfortable with the family-like setting and culture that Manoir B. provided.
The entire staff, from management to frontline, was interactive, always upbeat, and provided plenty of daily activities. Staying in one's room was never an option.
The striking thing to us was that the staff were mostly "long-termers", a testament to the work environment and dedication the Manoir Beaconsfield provided to both the residents and their staff. The food was healthy, varied and tasty. The rooms were clean, airy, and bright. The common areas were inviting and fun to be in. The outdoor spaces (weather permitting) were comfortable and easily accessible.
My dad lived out the last 3 1/2 years of his life there and we would not have been happier for him to be any place else."
Sincerely,
Pat and Linda

"In 2017, my father in law suddenly passed and my husband and his sisters had to find a residence for their Mom who had advanced Alzheimer’s. I had two aunts who had lived in CHLSD’s for several years, one in the private sector and one in the public, so I was familiar with the settings and processes. Unfortunately, neither of those places met my standards so I was at first skeptical that we would find anything better for my mother in law until we visited the Manoir Beaconsfield. We immediately knew that this would be the perfect environment for her and we were not disappointed . The Manoir only holds about 25 residents. It is a clean and well maintained lovely home. The residents are loved and cared for by the owners, Sabrina and Andrew, and all the staff. The staff, hand selected by the owners, are very qualified and are truly wonderful with the residents. They stop for a chat , gentle hand on the shoulder or a hug as they go about their duties. The food is amazing and cooked in house. (I even got a couple of recipes!). You are welcome to drop in anytime to see your loved one. We never worried about my mother in law as we knew that she was getting the best care and being treated with respect and dignity by everyone at the Manoir. I really don’t think you can get this care in the public sector. I have recommended the Manoir to many friends and if I ever would require CHLSD services this is the only place I would want to be."

I can’t say enough good things about the Manoir Beaconsfield. The owners and staff are truly wonderful — attentive, hands-on, and genuinely caring. One of the things that sets this home apart is its smaller size, which allows for more personalized care and attention to each resident. The staff takes the time to truly know and understand the needs of everyone, creating a warm and supportive environment. The level of care and compassion they provide gives families peace of mind, knowing their loved ones are in excellent hands. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a safe, welcoming, and highly attentive assisted living community.

We transferred my aunt from (another residence) since the care she was receiving was extremely poor. Her apartment was never properly cleaned. She was not being bathed regularly and was unkempt and not being properly attended to given exorbitant monthly cost. In addition, we had to engage 3 personal support workers at my aunt’s own expense to compensate for the care she was not receiving. Even though she was on a care floor she was constantly left alone until we engaged private help. As a family, we were very stressed and anxious about the lack of care.
We transferred her to Manoir Beaconsfield 2 years ago.
This resulted in a huge positive change in the care she was provided and her overall well being. The care she receives is personalized, kind and attentive. They also provide regular social activities that keep her engaged. My aunt is noticeably cared for, healthy, happy and thriving. The Manoir gives us as her family regular updates about her overall health status while providing us with reassurance that she is being very well cared for.
It is evident that this is a very well managed institution that has consistent best practices and a wonderful, trained staff.

Our family was extremely fortunate to find this wonderful long term care (CHSLD) residence for our mom, Assunta, in a time of crisis when our father died suddenly at home. Our father was her primary caregiver so it became quite stressful for us to be able to find a homey environment where Assunta could feel cared for and valued. Sabrina and her team put our minds at ease very quickly as we saw how residents were treated with dignity and care. The meals were excellent (cooked in house!) and the support for community volunteers such as high school studentsed is a testament to the Manoir's commitment to expanding the circle of care for their residents. The nursing staff and recreation coordinator became our friends, especially as our mom's siblings were encouraged to drop by at any time. We could not have asked for a more supportive environment in which we could see our mom's ever present smile and sense of peace grow over the 4 years that she lived there. I don't believe we could have found the same sense of commitment and quality care in a publicly funded CHSLD, because the size of the home alone, which is like an extended family home, meant that all the staff get to know all the residents. This is what we need more of, not huge institutions that are like hospitals. People with cognitive impairment need this type of environment.

When my father was too ill to return home, we needed to find a place that could accommodate his needs. We were obviously very apprehensive about finding a home that would offer him the proper care that he needed. What we found was much more. We found a home that treated him with respect, dignity, kindness and love. And not just him, but his family as well. They made the transition easy for him and for us. I was living in another province when he passed in August of 2018. I couldn’t sleep knowing his time was coming to an end, so I called the facility in the middle of the night. A kind nurse held the phone to his ear so I could say a proper goodbye. I listened to him breathe while sobbing for a good 5 minutes. The kindness, compassion and patience she showed me that night still brings tears to my eyes.
And now my mother is a resident, receiving the same incredible level of care. Living out of province is difficult as I cannot visit as much as I would like. But there’s a great sense of relief knowing that she is in the best hands possible. These people obviously love what they do and deserve all of the accolades.

The Management and staff at Manoir Beaconsfield provide loving care to each and every resident. Their patience and good intentions are always present even in difficult situations. As the family, we are always kept updated about any issue about anything even as simple as a bruise, with details, care, and follow-up. The Manoir Beaconsfield is comfortable for our mother allowing her some independence to make small decisions for herself which helps her maintain dignity and a little bit of autonomy. Thank you so much for everything.

I can't praise the Manoir Beaconsfield's management and staff highly enough. Our mother, who is turning 99 yrs old this year, has been living there for over 3 years and in that time we feel so fortunate to be part of the well-organized and loving community that Sabrina and her team have created. We've never had to worry if our mother is safe or well-cared for. Everyone who steps through their door can see immediately what sets this residence apart from any other: besides being clean and secure and cozy, it is cheerful! The staff go out of their way to show compassion and patience and love to each individual senior. The Manoir is a gem!

My mother (Iris) has been a resident at Manoir Beaconsfield since July of 2014. Ourfamily moved her to the Manoir following a period of hospitalization. Previously Iris had resided at a larger private senior’s residence on the West Island which while a good facility could not provide the level of individual care we were searching for. We could not be more pleased with our experience at the Manoir. Sabrina, Andrew, Brenda and all the staff at the Manoir have created a very special environment for residents and their families at the Manoir. Residents are always cared for with consideration for their individuality and dignity. While the move still required adjustment the compassion and patience provided by the Manoir’s staff greatly facilitated this change. Sabrina and Brenda were very attentive in keeping our family informed as our mother was welcomed into life at the Manoir. Over the past 3 months as the Covid 19 pandemic changed life for all of us the Manoir has surpassed all expectations for resident care and communication. The staff have selflessly cared for the patients in what has proven to be an extremely trying time for caregivers who are so devoted to their residents. During this time we have consistently been updated on Iris’ health and on the changes in situation and procedures at the Manoir. Specific times have been set up for phone calls and facetime with Iris which has been a great comfort for our family. It has been evident that the staff at the Manoir are doing everything they can for residents and their families. We have always felt that all residents and visiting relatives are a part of the Manoir family. We have developed friendships with relatives of other Manoir residents during regular visits and when attending special events which are a frequent part of life at the Manoir. This has been a direct result of the caring and supportive atmosphere which has been created at the Manoir. The small size of the facility and the low number of residents has enabled this personal intimacy which truly makes the Manoir such a special place. This would be difficult to duplicate in a larger facility. I cannot imagine a better situation for Iris at this point in her life. We are grateful everyday that we found the Manoir Beaconsfield and for the quality of care which she receives everyday.
Chris

To date my mother has been at the Manoir for 3 years. It has been and is being a very rewarding experience. The care and affection that comes from staff and owners is incredible. Everything that can possibly be done to make the environment safe, engaging and rewarding for the residents is done. Staff and owners are always willing and Listen, to family members about any requests, questions and ideas on how to make their family members feel loved, cared for and appreciated. Owners and staff are always available to take care and help with any issues that may crop up whether they are personal in nature or general, to improve the well being of the residents. In conclusion I am extremely satisfied with the Manoir taking care of my mother and know that the very best is beingdone for her whether I am at the Manoir or not. A big thank you to owners and staff for all they do, have done and will do for my mother.

My mother and father (before he passed) have had wonderful care at Manoir Beaconsfield. Since December 2015 I have moved my mother in and out of 3 other west island, dependent-care, private senior residences before finding this gem a year ago in April 2019. Without naming names, 2 of the previous residences did not offer adequate care and the other was highly overpriced. Any family lucky enough to secure a spot for a loved one at Manoir Beaconsfield will soon feel part of a large extended family, a home where the owners and care team alike, offer tireless dedication.

After touring the facilities in question, we felt that  nothing stood out quite like  Manoir Beaconsfield.   Situated a block from Lac St Louis on Woodland (and an even shorter block from the heart of the Beaurepaire Village in Beaconsfield), the well- appointed setting of this former Retreat Centre seemed ideal.  Surrounded by mature trees and charming gardens, we were curious to cross the threshold. We were not disappointed. Graciously welcomed by one of the Staff as they led us to meet with Manoir Administrator Sabrina and Head Nurse, Brenda, we were struck by the warm and relaxed atmosphere.   …Fortunately, our Mother took to her new home right from the start!…it was obvious to us that  she  felt very comfortable with the Nurses and other Staff.  … Now able to visit  with  our Mother at any time of the day (or  night),   we  could  see for ourselves  just how caring and  hands-on  the team at the Manoir was.

In the end, what a comfort it was to know that our mother had  spent her final days in  the care of such a committed and dedicated Staff.  As a family, we could not have hoped for more and we will always be grateful that the Manoir was there  for our mother when it mattered most.

"I just want to thank you once again for being such a warm family to our mom over the past 5+ years and making her twilight years so comfortable. We know how much her character will be missed at the Manoir. You all went above and beyond the call of duty in taking care of her and we always had peace of mind knowing she was in good hands. We're eternally grateful for the love and compassion you showed for her. So, a heartfelt thanks once again."
Tom

“Moving my Mom to the Manoir was the best decision we made for her final years. She was as happy as could be there, and extremely well cared for. Although her illness was very difficult for us to live through, we had total peace of mind when it came to her care and safety. You and your staff really do care and it shows. As you very well know, my Mom was not someone who shared her feelings easily or let just anyone into her “inner circle”. The fact that you were one of the few who was welcome there speaks volume about how you made her feel, and I truly appreciated that.”
 Isabelle

“It was a great source of comfort knowing that my mother was well cared for in her last few weeks and I will be forever grateful. I can't imagine how I could have managed had she stayed at home.
I know you are all professionals and you have to detach yourselves mentally from certain things but it surely must be a difficult line of work, not only caring for every patient but having to deal with every family of every patient.
As a family member of a patient I want you to know that you really do make a difference and you are greatly appreciated. Every time I came to Manoir Beaconsfield I felt at home and I'm sure my mother felt the same, though she couldn't express it herself.”
Raymond

"My mother lived at Manoir Beaconsfield for eight months. During that time, Mom received the best care we could imagine. Mom had lived in a few other residences, so we had some experience with what to expect – however Manoir Beaconsfield exceeded our expectations. The staff is kind, caring, patient and very loving. The residents are happy and stimulated, with activities, conversation and companionship. The nurses took time to explain about any changes in medications or health care issues. And the wonderful smells wafting from the kitchen could entice any appetite. I am grateful Mom had an opportunity to live at Manoir Beaconsfield – it was the best move we ever made.”
Suzanne

"Before I selected Manoir Beaconsfield for my mother, I went to multiple facilities. I chose Manoir Beaconsfield for multiple reasons: . Young ownership that are active at the facility - knew that staff would be attentive . Ratio of staff to patient was much lower than other facilities . Cost was substantially lower than the other facilities . Liked location with lake near by and quite a few amenities close by . Amenities were similar to other facilities . My mother was at Manoir Beaconsfield for close to a year and a half. I can safely say that my expectations were met and surpassed. I would gladly recommend this facility to anyone. Whenever an issue arose, and they will, I was able to talk to the owners (Sabrina and Andrew), discuss the matter, and I a resolution was agreed to, and action taken the next day. When choosing a facility for an elder parent it is difficult, but important. As stated previously, I have no hesitation in referring individuals to this facility…. "

"During the year 2012 my relative resided at Manoir Beaconsfield. I was very impressed with the friendliness and compassion shown to her by the owners and staff at all times. She required almost total care and her needs were met on a daily basis as her deterioration progressed. Efforts were made to entertain the residents, to take them outside, whenever possible and to involve the families in activities. Manoir Beaconsfield can be recommended for those requiring long term care."
Maureen

"I still drive by the Manoir Beaconsfield from time to time, and think back fondly of the time that my mother spent there. The loving, and caring staff, and friendly atmosphere made it a true home for my Mom in the last years of her life. I will forever be grateful for that."
Karen

"Just a short note to extend our appreciation for the kind and professional care extended to our mother, Sheila, during the time she lived at the Manoir Beaconsfield. The Manoir was our mother’s home for two and a half years before passing away peacefully there, in a caring and loving environment, a few months ago. We could not have been more pleased with our family’s experience and the level of care she received at the Manoir. Our mother received professional, respectful and personalized care and she always felt warm, secure and genuinely loved by the ever-present owners and staff. These were her friends and familiar faces through this final phase of life. Living close by, we were able to drop in to see her, often unexpectedly and at random times over a given week, and always found her well groomed, comfortable and being attended to, often actively receiving stimulus in conversation or activities, when I showed up. We came to the Manoir after carefully researching various residences that could best meet her needs – the Manoir proved to be the right choice and fully lived up to its positive reputation. While there are so many to thank, our gratitude specifically goes out the Sabrina, Andrew, Donna, and Brenda (among so many others). She loved you all."
Robert

"To ALL of Manoir Beaconsfield,
I feel that my mom was so lucky to have been able to spend her last 10 months on this earth at the Manoir Beaconsfield. You all took care of her as you do with all the Residents, with such love and compassion. God is love! And you all do God’s work! As a daughter , I cannot tell you enough what a burden it took off my shoulders to know that amidst a way difficult situation for her, she was safe, loved, well taken care of. She is now at peace in a better place. You all helped her get ready for her last departure. I cannot thank you enough!
"

"It was comforting to know Mom was in good hands under your care. I always felt so comfortable visiting Mom at any time of the day or evening. Whether it was myself or my many siblings, nieces, nephews, the staff made us all feel soo welcomed. Our family extends our most sincere gratitude for the Manoir's professional and personal care that you have given our Mom. Each and every one of you are exceptional, compassionate and caring."
Maureen

"Everyone at Manior Beaconsfield has such a kind and caring manner. It makes me happy everyday to know that my mom is so well cared for. I couldn't have made a better choice of a place for her to call home."
Janet

"My Dad lived at Manoir Beaconsfield for only a few weeks however the positive experience he had will always be part of my wonderful memories of his life. Dad was a very private and proud person, so it was important to find a place where he could spend his final time in comfort, peace and dignity. All the staff at the Manoir met his expectations every day. They were very attentive to his needs and expressed kindness and patience that he noticed and appreciated. Everything from the home cooked meals to his insistence on chocolate ice cream was always met with a smile of gratitude. He enjoyed sitting outside under the gazebo and chatting with other residents. His final days were filled with comfort, compassion and caring. Staff embraced him as part of their family. We were able to visit him any time of day and commented that the atmosphere was like coming to someone’s home and enjoying your stay. Also it was very evident that all of the staff enjoyed taking care of Dad and loved working at the Manoir."
